Corrections Policy

1. Our Commitment to Accuracy

At NHA Wire, trust is our most valuable asset. We are committed to reporting the news with the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and integrity. However, in the fast-paced world of global news, errors can occasionally occur. When they do, we are committed to acknowledging them openly and correcting them promptly.

Our goal is not just to correct the record, but to maintain the trust of our readers and the public.

2. How to Report an Error

We welcome feedback from our readers, sources, and the public. If you believe a story we have published is inaccurate, please contact our editorial team immediately.

  • Email: corrections@nhawire.com

  • Subject Line: Please use the format: “Correction Request: [Article Headline]”

  • What to Include:

    • The link (URL) to the article.

    • The specific statement you believe is incorrect.

    • The correct information, along with a primary source or evidence (e.g., a document, a recording, or a verified public record) to support your claim.

3. The Review Process

Once a correction request is received:

  1. Investigation: Our senior editors will review the claim against our source material and the evidence provided. We may contact the reporter involved and the original sources for clarification.

  2. Determination: If an error is confirmed, we will issue a correction as quickly as possible.

  3. Response: While we cannot personally reply to every email, we will notify the person who submitted the correction if a change is made based on their report.

4. How We Issue Corrections

Transparency is key. We do not “stealth edit” (change the text without a note).

  • Factual Errors: For significant factual errors (e.g., incorrect names, dates, statistics, or misquotes), we will update the body of the article with the correct information. A “Correction” note will be appended to the top or bottom of the story, explaining what was changed and when.

    • Example: “Correction (Dec 23, 2025): An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated the GDP growth rate. It has been updated to reflect the official figure of 2.5%.”

  • Clarifications: If a story is factually correct but lacks context or is phrased in a confusing way, we may issue a “Clarification” to ensure the reader fully understands the nuance.

  • Typos/Grammar: Minor typographical or grammatical errors that do not change the meaning of the story will be fixed immediately without a formal correction note, to ensure a smooth reading experience.

5. Social Media

If a story containing a significant error was widely shared on our social media platforms (Twitter/X, Facebook, LinkedIn), we will make a reasonable effort to post the correction or a link to the corrected article on those same platforms.

6. Unpublishing Requests

As a matter of editorial policy and public record, NHA Wire generally does not unpublish articles. We believe in preserving the historical record. If a story is found to be inaccurate, we will correct it rather than remove it. Exceptions are rare and are made only in extreme cases (e.g., legal issues, safety concerns, or severe violation of editorial standards) at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
